relative position of active cell over multiple sheet

I originally posted this in the regular excel help forum, but they said what I wanted to achieve could not be done without VBA, so I am now posted here hoping for your help.

Here is my challenge:-

I am running Excel 2004 for Mac V 11.5.4

I have a workbook that has multiple sheets that I need to move between.

Is there a way that would allow for the position of the active cell to remain the same as I click between the sheets.

For example if I am in cell C4 in sheet one and click onto sheet two I would like the active cell in sheet two to be C4 also. But if I then go to cell B8 in sheet 2 and click to go to sheet three I would then like B8 to be active in that sheet.

Any help would be appreciated.
