    Advancing worksheets w/ scroll wheel

I am trying to find a way to replicate the "ctrl+Page Up"/"ctrl+Page Down" using a modifier key and the scroll wheel on my mouse. I have spread sheets with far too many worksheet tabs that I want to move through quickly, and reducing the number of sheets is not an option. So is there any way I can customize it to do this without taking my hand off the mouse? I am currently using MS 2003 but my company will soon be upgrading to 2010, I guess, so tips for one or both are welcome. Thanks.

Why not just use the built-in arrows ?

If you right click on the arrows you will get a full listing - pending no. via "more sheets" dialog - from there scroll and select.

Re: Advancing worksheets w/ scroll wheel

It's not that I am trying to navigate quickly to a specific worksheet and stay there, it's that I have to move back and forth a lot between, sometimes distant, worksheets... copy a value on worksheet #5 and paste it in worksheet #135; copy output from #135 and paste it in sheets #5, #45, #104, and #110. If, for example (and I know this doesn't work), I could hold alt and scroll my wheel and have it advance through the worksheets, I think I could save an hour out over every day I have to do this, and probably add a week to the lifespan of my OEM wrist. Thanks for the idea, but that unfortunately doesn't save me the repetitive mousing around that I am trying to avoid.

You'll find a few possibilities on line - this was covered here not so long ago:

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-2007...ous-sheet.html

I'd suggest you use shg's code from post 8 - the remainder of the thread is just for general info.

You can look to adapt the code as you see fit but the general premise is covered in the above.

Incidentally, I will be moving this thread from Tips & Tutorials to the Programming Forum which is where it should really reside.
(the former is not intended as a Q&A forum)
