Hide ActiveX Checkbox on worksheet

I have a radio button that when true will hide a column. Column has checkbox I also want to hide - but it's not getting hidden with the code below. Any ideas?

Private Sub obtPreissueReview_Click()
If obtPreissueReview.Value = True Then
    Sheet2.Range("QualityRevCol").EntireColumn.Hidden = True
    Sheet2.cbxQualRev.Visible = False  'this is checkbox
    Sheet2.Range("e1").Select
End If
End Sub

The properties indicate the visible value is changing to false, but I can still see it (Design Mode is off).

You will have to change the visible property to hidden when that radio button is true...so it will hide along with the column.

I am not hiding the radio button - I want to hide the checkbox. Even thought the code changes the checkbox's visible property to false, it is still visible.

Check out my example...if I can get it to upload...the site is still loading all of the gifs on the page.....

I used your code...just changed the object names to match my sheet.

argh! Yours is working and mine wasn't. Why... I thought, well, maybe the box is not totally in the column, so I started messing with that and making sure it was completely in the column. No change. Then I moved the box completely out of the column and behold - somehow there was a 2nd checkbox directly under my checkbox (who knows why or how) and that was what was not getting hidden.
