    multiplication of datasets by macro

Hello, firstly many thanks for taking the time to view my problem. I have to say i think this might be the simplest problem i have put on here.

Essentially all i am aiming to do is manipulate numbers in multiple datasets via a macro. I am aware that this could be done via formulae very easily, however due to the nature of the spreadsheet this is not the best option.

I have attatched a simple example spreadsheet to clarify the problem.

Again many thanks for your time.

You always have this option, recording following as a macro
Enter 2.5 in an empty cell. Copy this value .Select all values to be multiplied. Right click - Select Paste special - Select - Multiply - OK

That would work but i have hundereds if not thousands of datasets, and to go through and select each of the datasets in a daily basis would be very time consuming.

Re: multiplication of datasets by macro

as always watersev you supplied a very useful macro, however after adapting it to my "real" spreadsheet i find that i dont have data in the colomn to the right. Which is required to create the "range." Data does get put in this colomn but not until after the numerical data is changed. Is it possible to make this macro worth with emty cells to the right?

    Ammended example spreadsheet attatched

    Many thanks
