Reassign unique ids based on specific criteria

I've looked all over the internet looking for a solution to this problem, but thus far have been unsuccessful. Here it is:

I have a list of unique identifiers in column A...each of the ids are in a specific group designated in column B.

How do I redistribute this list in a new column so that there are no duplicates and each unique id is in a new group?

    Thank you in advance!
