I might be being a bit thick and not even sure what you're referring to but are you doing this using Excel?

Guess it would be a windows api you would need to do that but no idea how.

Not sure about 2007 but in 2003 won't that just add a shape to the menu bar?

It's the icon on the Windows task bar that the OP wants to customise now, a different question I think.

Yes...a different question. The first question was on creating a customized desktop icon, the second question was about the icon in the upper left hand corner of the open workbook. This question is about the icon on the toolbar at the bottom (as shown in the screenshot on my post above).
Would this go into its own simple module? In the Openworkbook script of "ThisWorkbook"? No luck so far with it.Originally Posted by snb
