Hi,
I am stuck up with seemingly simple issue(dont know).Want to get the following in txt file or logfile:
1)current date,time
2)excel file name
3)No. of records in excel file,excluding first row(contains field name) which is not to be included.
4)Total cumulative records added to the master excel.(count of sl no.3 plus new records appended)

I run the macro which appends the daily excel file to the other i.e master.I could not attach the file as there are many file which are interlinked i.e batch file,vbs,another batch file,two excel files both with macro.This is first time i am doing from online available examples.
The daily received excel is very lenghty one(example xxxxxxx_yyyyyyyy_16032012,here i want to use date like 16032012.)

the txt file should have following
Date Time Filename No.oF RECORDS ADDED Total Records
