Create a dynamic range on named cell?

Hello all trying to wrap my head round a problem.

I want a number of columns to have header names.

Such as column A1 is January, column B1 is February etc.

I want excel to automagically create a dynamic range in the column named 'January', 'February' etc, but these first column rows could be named anything.

I don't mind a VBA code but have been looking and looking on google and cannot find anything the does what I need.

Perhaps a sample workbook can tell us your issue better. To my understanding, you want the succeeding months to appear in the right side columns, depending on your first entry. In that case you can try this.

Type manually the first month in cell A1 and use this formula

    Hi garyi
I stumbled across this because it was referenced in another thread on this Forum. It's a neat tool...see if it does as you wish.

    Hi garyi,

I was reading this article about Excel 2007 Structured References in Excel Tables. It sounds an awful lot like what you are wanting.

I think because you are using Excel 2007 you are going to discover the square brackets and the "#" sign have special meanings.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
