Determing IP address from URL

Hello corncob,

I have been telling myself every time this question comes up that I am going to write the code to do it. Yet, I somehow find myself waiting for Godot.

It has taken the better part of a day to code this and test it. As you can see the code is rather lengthy and I have attached a sample workbook to demonstrate the macro. There is a button on "Sheet1" to run the macro. You can add more host names in column "A" if you like.
