Using value from text box

I'm new to writing macros so this is probably an easy question.

I have a macro that opens a user form with a text box. I would like to take the number that is entered into the text box and bring it back into the macro to perform a simple calculation on it. Can this be done. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
