    VBA- digital signatures

If I create a VBA user form using EXCEL 2007 can the form itself be digitially signed by users of the form? I noticed if I decided to create an embedded form in EXCEL there is a way to add a digital signature control by selecting INSERT tab then signature line icon is located on the ribbon.

    Thanks for your help.

    Re: VBA- digital signatures

Digital Signatures that are recognised on other PCs need to be purchased from a company like Verisign
    Hope that helps.

    Re: VBA- digital signatures

I gave the attachment a digital signature (using selfcert.exe).
Just try to change that digital signature and youwill notive what happens. That the answer to your question whether users are allowed to add a digital signature to a form you had signatured yourself.

    Re: VBA- digital signatures

If a user attempts to change a digitally signed project then the certificate is removed. It does not prevent changing

    Re: VBA- digital signatures

Anyone, any ideas? when I click on the object browser in EXCEL VBA and search all libraries using the search word SIGN I see possible classes relating to signatures. How do I access or call these from my VBA code? Very new to VBA..

    thanks in advance.

    Re: VBA- digital signatures

Found on MS Office page that only a word document or an excel workbook can contain digitial signature lines. Therefore the above can not be done on a userform.

    Re: VBA- digital signatures

Have you read the help files about signatures linked at the bottom of the signature Taskpane? The help files basically say that the signature is recognised only on the computer that creates it, they won't work for other computers
