How can I only display the lowest low in a cell?

I haven't coded in Excel for many years and can't wrap my head around this problem.

    1]
I have a cell that is a DDE link to another product - this cell is constantly displaying numbers that are going up and down.

    2]
In the cell next to the above, I ONLY want to display the number that is the lowest low number and only be updated if there is a new lower number.

Can any one help or point me to some example code on how to achieve this??

    Thank you for any help
