    Broken Links from co-worker

    I have a workbook that contains links to other workbooks. I am using the main workbook to consolidate the information from the others. (Main Workbook with all jobs and information on jobs with links to each job workbook) I have a co-worker that opens the main workbook and then clicks on the hyperlinks to the other workbooks (Job Workbooks) and updates the information. Each time she does this and then saves the info (which is still on my pc) it breaks all the links. (Not the hyperlinks to the other workbooks but the links). When I go in and check the links, it has changed the file location to my computer name instead of My Documents. How can I stop this from happening? It is very time consuming to change the source back to each project workbook. Excel 2010

    Note: I am sharing the file by placing a link on her desktop and gave her access to my documents. She does not save the document and then copy back to me.

    Hi ganderson;

    This is out of my league, but I'll make a suggestion.

    Instead of using hyperlinks, use a button that runs a macro that opens the Job Workbook AND closes the Main Workbook. That way your links should stay intact (I'm guessing).
