    Re: Importing txt to excel

Go in excel, click open at the top left of your window, select the desired type of file (either text or all) and import the txt file.

My excel is in french so I'll attach a screenshot of my import window.

If you pick the first option, it will seperate the cells at every coma or tab and if you pick the 2nd one (the one I usually pick), then, you will be prompted on the 2nd window.

For the origin of the text file, the main 3 options are Macintosh, Windows (ANSI) and DOS. Since you probably don't use DOS on a daily basis, you'll probably pick Windows. If your file originally came from DOS, then pick that choice.

Click Next and then select where you want to cut your columns. Those choices will be applied to all of your file.

On page 3, you can pick a specific format for each column. If you have a column that contains dates, then you can give it a different format than the standard one.

Depending on your version, you might have to change your date format.

    Thanks and good luck!
