    Adding comments to protected sheet??

    Hello,

    I am using Excel 2007 and have a problem regarding my VBA code. We protected various cells in all sheets (different cells for each sheet) with a password.
    Now I want the people, which do not have the password to be allowed to do the following things:
    - add comments to cells

    Thanks a lot for your help!

    Here comes my code:

    Private Sub Workbook_Open()

    Dim wSh As Worksheet

    For Each wSh In ThisWorkbook.Worksheets

    With wSh
    .Protect Password:="xxx", UserInterfaceOnly:=True, AllowFormattingCells:=True
    .EnableOutlining = True

    End With

    Next wSh
    ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("xyz").Unprotect Password:="xxx"

    End Sub

    Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code. Posting code without them makes your code hard to read and difficult to be copied for testing. Highlight your code and click the # at the top of your post window. For more information about these and other tags, found here

    You were also asked to in this post
    Hope that helps.
