Form with buttons to fetch excel db info

I need help with VBA code a Summary Form that will fetch summary information from Excel database spreadsheet.

The Summary Form will list the Major Repairs and Safety Issues about a manufacturer's vehicle/model/year.

This information will be added to a Vbulletin forum in the near future. This is a "not for pay" project. I am giving my free time to it. I have started this project because this summary information does not exist anywhere on the internet on display them on the Form.

I am also spending lots of hours complying summary information from the Jaguar Forum and other internet sites to load into the Excel spreadsheet database.

Excel Form Format and Excel speadsheet database are the first phase.
VBA coding to find and display the select summary info from Excel Tables and display on the Form is the next phase.

Other phases will be VBA coding to use hyberlinks to various webpages on the internet and within the Vbulletin threads and posts and display them on the form.

I like to be able to create an excel application using VBA coding that will look and operate like the one presented on this Cars Direct webpage. Shows Car Specifications and has buttons on the left of each bar (overview, engine,). Click on the button causes a dropdown with the details displayed.

Here is the webpage link: http://www.carsdirect.com/2001/jaguar/xj8/specs

I am an experienced programmer, but a newbee to VBA coding. I have been trying to teach myself the Excel and VBA tricks I am finding on the internet.

Please look at the Cars Direct webpage. It shows the specs for 2001 Jaguar XJ8. Uses drop downs to display more information about the overview, engine, etc.

What do you think about it being done in Excel? Excel Form with display area (drop down) and a Excel spreadsheet (with data) summary details?

Need advice and possible VBA coding examples.
Attached Excel file is progress todate:
Jaguar XJ8 Major Repair & Safety Issues Format Master.xls

    Thank you

Re: Form with buttons to fetch excel db info

I am on the right path. I created 4 worksheets to emulate a procedure to show the topic and a drop down information details.
The 1st sheet give you the highest level - brief summary information at a glance.

2nd sheet has the information details for all the topics.

The 3rd sheet is the presentation display that incorporates Summary information with the information
    detail for Topic issue requested.
4th sheet is the static format information that is used to refresh the presentation display for the next
    Topic issue requested.
I will post my code if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Where's the data stored? Your example doesn't have anything that resembles an Excel Database, just a form
    Hope that helps.
