Hidden Control Buttons failing to show on design mode

    Hello there,

I have a worksheet with a fair number of command control buttons which show and hide by code. At the beginning most are hidden and show up only as necessary.

However I am finding that some buttons fail to show when I enter in design mode, and I am positive they have not been deleted by code.

In fact, some buttons that do not show up at design mode, do show up when invoked by code...

Is that a bug or what?

    thanks in advance

Are you sure the ones that don't show up are not Forms buttons that you have hidden in code?

Well, I am sure about the ones I created, but not quite about the rest...
How can I make sure what type is which?

What are the recommendations when working with a fair number of buttons and forms on a sheet?

should I convert them all to control buttons and manage them with OLEObjects commands?

    thanks

I would always use the forms controls if I needed controls on a sheet.
If you can't view the properties in design mode, or if they don't appear as properties of the sheet in code, then they are Forms controls. They also run code by having macros assigned to them rather than using event code.
