HY can anyone help we? I have a database with computer's components and I want to select for example a motherboard from a list of motherboards, a mouse from a list of mouses and a videoboard and at the the first sheet for example to have all that I have selected and the sum of prices.

I would use database-style sheets to contain my list of motherboards along with their respective prices.

On that sheet, I would highlight all the motherboard names (or part numbers) and give that range of cells a name like MOBO by typing that into the Name Box just to the left of the formula bar.

Then on your front sheet, use Data > Validation > Allow: List > Source: =MOBO to provide that list of motherboard choices into that cell.

In the cells to the right of that DV cell, you could then use simple VLOOKUP formulas to bring over the rest of the information from you database page.

Here's some sample sheets showing what I think you're looking to do.

So, how did it go? Post up your resulting workbook so we can see how you made out, along with any new questions.

I have tried with data validation, it's DATA>DATA VALIDATION>DATA VALIDATION in excel 2007
This was what I wanted. I've put a new thread then because I'met new problems.
The thread's name is "Need a function that made me the sum if isna (is not N/A) "
There is the answer to the old and new problems also.
Thank you very much for your help.
