Workbook_Open

I am aware that the Workbook_Open sub is for the workbook in which it exists. Just wondering if anyone has come up with a way to have a universal workbook_open sub that would run in the absence of a workbook_open sub in the opening workbook. Or perhaps it would run after the one in the opening workbook. Maybe stored in a Personal file. Thanks in Advance.

    Re: Workbook_Open

    Hello MikeExcelH,

The Workbook_Open() event happens when any workbook is opened. If there is code in the event module then VBIDE will execute the code. The code for firing of the event is an intrinsic part of the workbook object. You can not create an event for a workbook on the fly at run-time.

You should provide more details about what you want to do and include some before and after examples. Chances are there is more than one solution for what you want to do.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Remember To Do the Following....

    1. Use code tags. Place
before the first line of code and
after the last line of code.
