I'm getting this error message. I've commented out where it breaks. Is it possibly too long for one line? Even if that is not the issue, how could I make it 2 lines? Any help is appreciated.

The easy option to test that theory is to put a short formula in the cell. If that works, there's something it doesn't like about the formula, possibly the length.
There are 879 characters ... not sure what that will boil down to as a formula but it looks a bit excessive.
You don't need to select the cells to put formulae in them. For example:

could be:
![]()

I'll give that a try.
I did know about your other suggestion. I just haven't had a chance to change that yet.
Thanks.
You could shorten it a lot with a lookup range, or you can use a shorter form of OR:

Everyone who confuses correlation and causation ends up dead.
Thx. I incorporated the OR to shorten it. I still get the error though, so now I'm back to having no clue what is causing this since it's not the length.
If you are using 2003, then you have too many nested IFs in that formula. (it's fine in 2007 or later)
Bummer. I'm in 2007.
Might want to change your profile then.
It works OK for me in 2010 in a quick test.
Haha, oh geez. Totally forgot about my profile. Thanks.
You know, this particular file is running in 2003. So what can I do to modify it? Is converting the file my only option?
I'd use a lookup table instead - that would work in all versions.
Do you mean replacing the existing formula with a vlookup formula?
Or something similar, yes.
