When does a formula used in VBA become resource-intensive?

    Hi,

Will a resource intensive-formula created within a range name and only used by VBA only be resource-intensive when VBA uses it?

I have a range name "Test" containing an OFFSET function, and it is not placed in any cell in the workbook. "Test" is only used in a macro using Evaluate. Will "Test" only become resource-intensive when used by the macro and thus have zero resource use at all other times?

    Thanks,

    Lawrence
