    I would normally build the Path, Filename and Extension into a variable, and load it into your line.

    let FNAME = "C:\BMC_Scorecards\BMC_Scorecard_" & (Range("AK4").Value)
    ActiveSheet.ExportAsFixedFormat Type:=xlTypePDF, Filename:=FNAME, _
            Quality:=xlQualityStandard, IncludeDocProperties:=True, IgnorePrintAreas _
            :=False, OpenAfterPublish:=False
