1. I want to put a validation on a textbox means the textbox can only have first two alphabets "EL" and next 6 digits. If the user types something else then display error message. The alphabets should always be "EL".

what are you typing into the control?
I am typing:
EL123456
It worked perfectly fine ... I was using a wrong textbox number thats why it gave me prob earlier. Thanks a lot for your help Romper.
