AutoFit Without knowing specific Rows & Columns

Hi all,
I was wondering about the AutoFit option. Lets say I have 12 months of dates being added to a sheet. Lets also say that I don't know exactly what columns they will be in but only that they are added to the end of the last update. Is there a way that a code can be generated to figure out what Column the active cell is in, and then autofit the whole column to accommodate the new date value without going and double clicking each column?
