    getting sums and totals

I have spent awhile trying to get this to work using sum, sumif, sumproduct, count if... and nothing seemed to work with the multiple variables.

Is there a way I can use VBA code to count how many minor, how many major, how many critical and how many misc. deviations each person on the report documented for the month? The listings change and are updated daily. The actual categories themselves do not change only the people reporting the deviations and the amount reported.

The critical, major, minor and misc. categories are based on the #'s that deviations are coded as.

So each categorie has a range of numbered deviations that fall with-in it (exp. for misc. which is only code 35.)

    See attached
Super thanks in advance... many frustrated hours spent so far

    Hi,

Or in addition to the SUMPRODUCT() suggestion TMS has offered, and because you have Excel 2007 with its more powerful COUNTIFS() and SUMIFS() functions use formulae like

    etc..
