    MsFlexGrid control problems

    Hello to everyone.

I'm having problem while trying to use the MSFLXGRD.OCX on a UserForm (Excel 2003). I receive the error message: 'The subject is not trusted for the specified action'

Does anyone know what can be causing this problem?

    Thanks in advance to all.

A quick google of the error message threw up: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1530759 - might be worth a read through.

    Hello.

Thank you for the link. In fact, i googled everything i could before coming in here and ask for your help. It seems there no way of getting out of this. I'm just wondering how can this happen with MS objects?...What is the profit of having an object that can't be used?
Well... I'l try to do it some other way...

    Thank you

    Hello.

I found the solution (despite being a bit bizarre). It is necessary to remove the KB960715 XP update.
It works. But what a stupid thing!...

Isn't that about the first thing mentioned in the thread DO linked to?

    Hello.

    Yes R.

I'm just amazed that the solution is so stupid. Do you think this is normal?

    Thank you

    Re: MsFlexGrid control problems

It depends what you mean by normal.
Do I think it's normal that MS would try and fix security holes? Yes.
Do I think it's normal that they would do it in such a cack-handed manner? I couldn't possibly comment...
Do I think it's normal that the documentation of the problem and any solutions is almost non-existent? Yes, sadly.
