I think you can select the column of weird date values and use the TEXT TO COLUMNS feature to convert it to regular dates. Run through the DATA > TEXT TO COLUMNS wizard, and on the final screen, set the Column Data Format to Date: YMD

I don't know why you would get that error. I used it as a UDF on my system (Excel 2003/Windows XP) with no errors. It returns the date string as you want it. Can you post your workbook? Maybe you are overlooking something after too many energy drinks.
