Hey, I am working on an excel macro that sorts data and makes a spread sheet. Is there any code that will start a script of some sort to open a web page and paste the updated data? And if possible do it on a timely manner.

Hello eatsox117,
Welcome to the Forum!
Which way is the data going, from Excel to the Web site or from the Web site to Excel? What is the web address you are using?
Can you post the workbook so we can see how the data is arranged and formatted?
Sincerely,
Leith Ross

Old Scottish Proverb...
Luathaid gu deanamh maille! (Rushing causes delays!)
It gathers the data from the SharePoint data list, pastes it into the excel production sheet, runs the macros, and then pastes the version status sheet onto another SharePoint page. Those buttons are there because as of right now I am trying to automate it as much as I can.
I don't think you will have access to the SharePoint because its internal to the company but here is the workbook.
p.s. don't bash the codingI just started vba last year and its still not that strong lol.
bump thread
Hi eatsox117;
This is outside my comfort zone, but I can point you in the right direction.
From Help
I have written a web query several years ago, so I might be able answer questions as you go along. I have no idea how to post a sheet to the web, but hopefully this bump will get someone else to point you in the right direction for that.Importing data from the Web
You can import data originating from a Web page by pointing to Import External Data on the Data menu and clicking New Web Query. You must have access to the World Wide Web through your company's intranet or through a modem on your computer or network, or you can make a query against local html or xml sources.
