if functions to add and subtract values in 2 or more different cells

    Hello guys,

attached is an excel spread sheet which involves 2 brokers, their assets and client count per year. Also displayed is the asset and client growth per year.

What I am trying to do is the following:

Once broker 2 reaches 130 clients he/she gives away 5 clients (client give away) and the average asset per client to broker number 1. Broker number 1 then receives the new clients with their assests next year. Also Broker number 2 then loses the 5 clients with their assests.

I tried to use the if function but somehow it does not quiet work. I think I have to interate.

Maybe it is easier than I think it is but I cant find a proper solution.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Cheers

    Hi Mengo,

Depending on where you want the formula you could try
    =if(H3>130,(L7+5),"")
    Keep life simple

    Jay,

    thanks for your reply

well, it's not really what I ment. I hope my discription above explains it clearly enough. Basically brocker 2 passes on the amount of client above clients above 130 and their assets to broker number 1. Broker number teh changes will be seen in the following year.

for example broker 2 has 133 clients passes on 3 clients with their assets (assest per client tuime clients) to broker number one. Then broker number 2 has 130 clients still in the same year but there us still a 10% client growth for next year. Therefor the year after passing on 3 clients he has 130+10%= 131 an so and so forth

    hope that makes sense

Nope, doesn't make sense. Try posting another workbook, with a sheet that shows how you want it to look after the transfer.
