Shift:=xlDown problem

Hello my friends,

I need some help here please.

I have a macro in VBA that is supposed to select a row, copy's the format and uses "Shift:=xlDown" to shift the cells down.

But i got a problem, when the line with "Shift:=xlDown" is executed, a dialog box appears (see attached image), can anyone help me to get rid of the dialog box?

This was working (the dialog box wasn't appearing), and now i don't know why it stopped working.

The code i have is this

        Rows(p_portagem & ":" & p_portagem).Select
        Selection.Copy
        Selection.Insert Shift:=xlDown

That would suggest the cells you are copying contain a reference to an external file which is not longer available. So the File dialog is displayed.

Hi Andy. Thanx for your reply.

I went to see the formulas in that row and i found one in a column but it only refers to a sheet in the same workbook

=IF(E22="";"";IF(OR(E22<Concessao!$D$3;E22>Concessao!$D$4);"Não";IF(OR(WEEKDAY(D22)=1;WEEKDAY(D22)=7);"Não";IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(D22;Concessao!$G$3:$G$46;1;FALSE));"Sim";"Não"))))

No other formula in that row's columns.

And i tried deleting that formula and run the macro again, and the dialog box still appears

Well i figured it out..

There were some links in the workbook that were broken, which i missed....

but your help was crucial to point me in the right direction
