Multi Column AutoFilter

I have a spreadsheet where I have articles listed in one column and authors in several other columns. I am trying to create a macro that will scan each column for every instance of an author. For example sometimes they are the primary author (and thus listed first) and other times they might be a secondary author (and thus listed second to eighth).An AutoFilter only searches the one column but not the others. Any advice?

Sorry can you elaborate on that? I don't know how to AutoFilter based on contains...
