Drop down list/autocomplete

Many such issues have already been discussed here. But i want an answer tailored to my list. Actually, i don't know macros stuff, and the solution involves macro.

Kindly with a very basic list, create a drop down list, and then when you type any alphabet, it narrows the options.Also providing autocomplete feature.

In a post, this was achieved through combo box activeX, but i couldn't figure out how to get it to work. Also, can this be done with data validation drop down? If yes, then that would be a better option.
