Master file has been corrupted

Can anyone help me how to recover the corrupted excel file.

Its urgent..

Please help me...

Sorry to hear that. I hope you find a solution to this problem. I did a quick search and hope this might help:

"Apparently Excel saves temporary files to "C:\ Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp" if you have Windows 2000 or XP and probably here in Vista: "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp". You are looking for files named "~DF????.TMP" where the question marks are letters or numbers, so the files are named "~DF" and then any 4 numbers and digits, ending with the extension "TMP", although these are probably hex numbers so you might not see any letter further than "F" in the alphabet. These temporary files include installed add-ins and other files made into temporary files when you open up any Excel files, so most of the files won't contain your data. Anyway, try changing each one to extension xls or xlsx and xls if you have Excel 2007, then try opening the files."

Maybe this will help you find a copy that is not corrupt on your hard drive.

Are there any possibility to get free excel recovery software in torrent or somewhere else. Because this file contains lot of information about our client and phone num. and contact info and many more. So i can't drop this file anyway. otherwise my boss will screw me like anything.

If you really need it, I suggest you buy some recovery software (most comes with a trial for you to test). It looks very much as though the write to disk failed part way through as your file terminates abruptly.

Getting pirated software via torrents is a good way to ensure that all your files get corrupted.
