    VBA versus Worksheet Functions

    Hi,

    I'm working with a very large Excel 2000 file that has a large number of worksheet calculations on 5+ sheets. Right now, data is imported into specified fields, and then values are calculated using worksheet functions. I am wondering if it is worth my time to code the calculations currently on the worksheets into VBA. Will this decrease the size of the file? Could it help speed up the time taken to calculate after the initial data is imported?
