    Question Analyzing (reoccuring) numbers

    Hi

    first, I know I'm new, so Hi to all
    I'm Steve, 24, and work for a company that shells/ships floor- and walltiles.
    However, my excel-skills are like.. errmmm... close to nothing

    I get a lot of xls-files containing a bunch of numbers, and I mean a BUNCH
    each number representing a client, shipping destination, factory, ...

    Now, at the end of the day, i get usually soar eyes and a headache from counting all these numbers...

    What I was wondering, is there a way to set 8 variables, and have excel count for me how many times these 8 are present in the file?
    -> the main idea is; Open the xls file and run a script or macro, or 'load' them into a file that has the 8 empty vars which i can then set and run it.

    Now, what I have to say;
    - 10 can only count as 10, not as a 1 and a 0, and so on...
    - my nrs haven't YET passed 100, but this won't last much longer.

    Example

    1 15 10 24 69 85 12
    2 10 58 74 69 1 10

    My 8 vars;
    1 2times
    10 3
    15 1
    24 1
    17 0
    .... and so on...

    Hoping you guys can help me out,and help me fight my headache and save my eyes

    A sample file might help but you might want to check out the COUNTIF function.
