    Submit Button to Lock Worksheet

I've NEVER done any programming and I'm hoping this will be easy for someone out there to help me with.

I'm using Excel 2003. I've created several workbooks, one for each student, where they can take a quiz, one per worksheet. I've managed to figure out how to set up the drop down selection which pulls from a hidden answer worksheet, instant grading right or wrong and a formula that shows whether the student passed or failed in a hidden column. But now my biggest problem.

I can't figure out how to create a SUBMIT button which will lock the worksheet to prevent the answers from being changed once it's selected.

It would really be sweet if it could also send the column information which is hidden (right or wrong for each question and passed or failed info) to an Instructor Workbook so they wouldn't have to access each student workbook to get the grades. The reason to transfer the results for each question is to determine whether the students need additional training in that particular area or if the question needs reworded.

example- (reserving column A & B for questions & answers)
Avery's Unit 1 Exam grades sent to Instructor Workbook, worksheet Unit 1 Exam, column C
Brady's Unit 1 Exam grades sent to Instructor Workbook, worksheet Unit 1 Exam, column D

and so forth for the other students.

Then when they take the next exam on worksheet 2 (Unit 2 Exam) that information is sent to the Instructor Workbook, worksheet 2.

Anyway, thanks to whoever has the answer for me! Your worth your weight in gold!

Add a button from the controls toolbox to the sheet to run this code to protect & lock the sheet

Transferring the results would be a little more complicated,an example work book would help
    Hope that helps.

Wow, you're amazingly fast! I'll enter this code in a couple of days, then send a copy of the workbook.
    Thanks for helping!
