Macro affecting other files?

I am having a problem that whenever I have a certain spreadsheet open that contains a certain macro (even if not running), the performance of other spreadsheets I have open are affected. (auto calc really slows down)

What could the file with the macro be doing as it is sitting there idle. Is it using a large amount of memory just by being open?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello bucks22,

Make a copy of the workbook without the macro. Run the copy and see if there is a difference. If so then you should post your workbook (with the macro) for review.
