Personal.xlsb crashes excel

Hi guys

I was hoping you guys could help me out. I'm pretty new to macro and VBA but I'm trying to get a macro which can save an open spreadsheet in a specific location under a specific name.

I saved the macro in the personal folder as I would like to have it available when I open documents which don’t have this macro.

It all seems to work very well except excel now crashes randomly when opening either a new file or an existing one

I can't figure out why
After the crash I get the message that there is something wrong with my personal.xlsb!
The documents I'll be opening will be both 2003 and 2007 both with and without existing macros

Your code sounds like it is stored in your Personal.xlsb, I van't see why this is causing Excel to crash

Can you please be a little more explicit - what is the exact wording of the error message?
When do you get the message?

You mention that you'll be opening both 2003 & 2007 files, am I correct in thinking that you will always be opening the files in Excel 2007?

Yes I always opening both 2003 and 2007 fils in excel 2007.

I think you should take out Application.DisplayAlerts = False, you need to be made aware of unforseen problems with saving. Also Application.Quit should be used with care, there may be other workbooks open within the same instance of Excel. Looking generally at what you are trying to do, and given that you are using Excel 2007, you may be better off setting trusted paths under Trust Centre Settings.
