    How to count a number of instances

    Please see attached.

    In this spreadsheet, I want to find a formula that counts the number of instances where employee="DARSMI" and status="G".

    I tried =countif(and(B11:B21,"DARSMI",A11:A21,"G")). That didn't work.

    Any ideas?
