    TimeSheet Anthology

Lots of us have worked on timesheets for various purposes, not the least of which are records of hours worked. Today there are 216 threads with literally thousands of views. It would be useful to collect finished works into a single or a few threads. If you would, please leave a link to your completed !! timesheets, workbooks, or applications, so that we may benefit from your work.

It is probably necessary to include a description, and copyright (public hopefully) or trademark (if necessary) restrictions. If no restrictions so state "no restrictions," or "for unrestricted use" with the description and link. Please restrict comments on this thread, which is dedicated to links and descriptions.

Hopefully, we can get some pretty cool stuff going on here, and solve a lot of problems for a lot of people. Thank you.

The thread is not about questions and answers (unfinished work). That list would be a recreation of a search result. The thread is asking people to share code of completed work. That would be cool. I've got other projects in mind for the community as well, to solve some common logistics problems. Hopefully, I'll get some good responses with this thread. Thanks shg.

Bullen et al use a timesheet as an example throughout Professional Excel Development. That might be a place for you to start.

shg: I had a look at Stephen's pages, and found Google Images a great resource. Thought it would be helpful, considering the number of timesheet related threads, to have a look at other peoples work. This type of sharing is enabling, especially for people who are looking for something substantial they can work with to augment their projects.

I do business apps (primarily scheduling) in various dev languages. Most of my works are Win apps for people who want an adjunct to corporate web apps, that they can use locally or at home to get their work done in a short period of time. Maybe you could dedicate a section of your site to free templates if that wouldn't be counter-productive to your goals.

Have a look at my project thread. I am trying to overlay a layered graphic with text related to the underlying cells using conditional formatting. Ex:
this is a rectangle graphic -> [8AM_____ 7 hours _____ 3PM]. Could use some help with this. Thanks shg.

A place to post end-user finished projects would be an interesting idea, but the main problems would be copyright and trademark properties. Even something as simple as a timecard spreadsheet/workbook could very well be trademarked or copyright protected, being used in a corporate environment.

Any posting would have to carry with it a notification that it is not as such and therefore open to the public domain for use. (How to verify is a whole other issue onto itself)

As an example of this, if you go to Microsoft’s website to download a template of any sort you will see the MS made ones (ie the copywritten ones) vs the public domain made ones. The public domain made ones all have some sort of statement attached to them, usually in reference to being untested for virus’ etc.
