Automatically insert notes to a cell if conditions are met?

    Hello,

I have been working on a problem for a while and have been stumped. I would like to be able to have a note appear containing the contents of a cell (C1) if the conditions (using the IF formula) are met in another cell (H1). I think conditional formatting might be the way to do this but I've been unable to produce anything so far. Has anyone had any luck doing this before? Thanks,

Adding comments to a cell can only be done using VBA code. If VBA is an option for you, then post a sample workbook meeting the following criteria

    1. It EXACTLY duplicates the structure of your real workbook AND,
    2. It contains representative non-sensitive dummy data, AND
    3. Manually shows the expected results using clear examples
