    Preserve Cell Data

I am an excel and forum newbie!!!

On my spread sheet I have a cell with time changing from 99 down to 0 minutes, EVERY MINUTE. In another cell I have data(numbers) that change also as the time runs down. What I need to do is FREEZE that data at periodic times ( 4 times to be exact) and display them in different cells so I may use them in a formula calculation.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Ray

    Hi Ray,

    welcome to the forum.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Also, please edit your profile and put in your actual Excel version. Excel 7 is not something I recognise. There's Windows 7 and there's Excel 2007, but that's not the same.
