    addition with asterisk

    Hi ppl.

    I'm looking for formula to do sum of numbers that contains * at the end of the every number..

    Eg:

    2 + 3+ 5* + 4** + 6 +3 ** = 23
    but i'm getting only 11..

    please help me out..

    You say you're only getting 11.
    Can you post more specifics...including sample data, it's location in the sheet,
    and any formulas you've already tried (they give valuable clues to us), and
    results you want (based on the sample data)
