    xls to exe programs

    Hi all,

I am wondering if someone can enlighten me about the xls to exe programs. I have created a budgeting workbook in excel with many interrelated sheets with formulas that feed amounts into various tables. I want this program to be a standalone, but don't have a clue on how to go about doing so. I found a program on the internet that promises to do all the things I am wanting (DoneEx, XCell Compiler), but it doesn't work with excel 2007.

These programs promise to do the following:

Compilation of excel (XLS) file to application (EXE file)
    Protection with Matrix Dongle
Save changes directly into the EXE
    Add your own splash screen
    Add your own copyright information
Add your own end user license agreement information
Import saved data from command line
Export/Import changed data to an external file
Import data with different background and font color
References to DoneEx in compiled EXE files
    Compiled EXE distribution royalty FREE
Application (EXE File) may work more than 3 days
Put time restriction on application (EXE file)
    Commercial use of compiled Application
    VBA protection
    Hide Excel on start
Create EXE protected with registration key
    Create registration/license based application
    Hardware locking for applications
    License expiration warning
    Create Trial EXE
Appearance of 'NOT FOR COMMERCIAL USAGE' text
    Appearance of 'Trial version' tex

I don't know Visual Basics and the prospect of learning it is a daunting one. Besides, I don't know how advanced you would have to be to be able to do all these things. Still, I am looking for a way to get my program on the internet in a way that does not require someone to have excel installed on their computer... any advice?

Should I have posted this in the Excel General or Excel Miscellaneous?
