Stopwatch or using timer of other program

    Hello,

I am trying to set something up to transcribe video files for my research. I need to do this to the nearest second. I am now trying to either create a function that enables me to have a row were I, if I for instance press enter, get the time of the counter. Since I have lots of video's to analyse and I would like to enter them in same sheet I need to be able to reset timer after viewing a video as well. A pause function would be great as well.
An other option would be if I could use the time from the program I will be using to play the videofiles, eg. Quicktime.

    Thanks a lot in advance

    Hi,

Before going any further, do you already use the 3 keys : ctrl+shift+colon ...

Else for a chrono, Stephen has an elegant solution :

Look for the file : Chrono.zip
