Browse for excel worksheet and running macro

    Hello,

I am trying to create a program that will allow the user to browse for an excel worksheet and execute a macro that will format the worksheet with a click of a button.

Here is an image of what I want the template to look like:

Now I need to know what language I should use and the codes to make it run.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello dyung2,

    Welcome to the Forum!

Since there are numerous formatting choices and ways of combining them, perhaps you can make it easier to answer your question by providing an example or two of what you want the finished sheet to look like. Once that is provided, the code can be written to provide the result.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Remember To Do the Following....

    1. Use code tags. Place
before the first line of code and
after the last line of code.

    Thanks Leith.

I don't think I made myself clear, but I have the code set up already to format in a VBA macro. I just need an application or .exe that resembles the template that I posted up earlier that will allow the users to browse for the excel worksheet and with the click of the "Format!" button it will make the macro run in excel.

Thanks jaslake, but I believe that code is used for VBA and I am trying to use VB6 to create my application.

    Hello dyung2,

You do know that this forum is for VBA and not VB6 programming? Visual Basic 6 is a third party programming platform that you must buy. There are many forums and newsgroups for VB4, VB5, and VB6. You would be better off posting your questions there.

Sorry about that Leith, I will use the VB6 forums and see if they have any answers, but thanks for your letting me know.
