I have a workbook I like to compare data to another workbook if a part number exists in both workbooks it will do some type of input or highlight.
My problem is the Workbook I want to compare is not my Workbook or under my control nor my department control.
QA has a list of approved parts we can manufacture they enter about every 30 days into workbook each month making a new TAB worksheet as you know each worksheet has new name. Is there a way I can compare a complete workbook in my search. Then have the information that could be multiple returned.
Sample:
WOOKBOOK TAB: Parts List Rev C
P/N: XXXCXXXX-XXX
Pending approval: YES "waiting approval" / NO "approved"
Note: The previous TAB Parts List Rev B could list same P/N and pending approval while TAB Part List Rev C will have Approval.
I can push that they follow a format or data entry but not wanting to flex my muscle as I got them by suggesting to put into a workbook already as it was over 5 years of worksheet in a folder before, Openning up folder look like a nightmare..
