    Missing Drop-Down List

    Hi folks -

Can anyone help? I have a spreadsheet with a series of drop-down lists. I have named these lists for the sake of ease.

In a seperate workbook I have used some of these named drop-down lists - however, they only work when the original workbook is open - when it is closed the drop-downs disappear.

Is there a way of fixing this problem or am I going to have to transfer all my drop down lists over to the other workbook?

    Regards

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Are you referencing the names with a full path, i.e. drive/folders/workbooks ?

    Hi Richard -

I did try putting in the full file path but it didn't like it! However, that is probably down to my errors in writing it out. Not too sure how you would add the drop down list name (Activities).

The source workbook has to be open. You could always use Personal.xls to hold the lists since that will always be open?
