can a macro do conditional formatting?

I have a sheet with 5 calenders, and i would like it if there was a macro that could change the fill color depending on which date group that day fell into.
i would need 5 similar macros.
I say a macro cos there are 5 calenders so a vba thing that covered the whole sheet would not work!
    see the picture
i would like to change the dates in the top parts and have the calender day fill colors change accordingly. ( or text colour if that was easier)
each day in the calender does no which date it is!
    any ideas folks?
    thanks

Nice picture but it's no help, add an example workbook.

    What do you mean by
a macro cos there are 5 calenders so a vba thing that covered the whole sheet would not work!
    Hope that helps.

There are five calenders on the same page.
    (the months beneath each other).
i found that when i applied a vba to the whole page it would of course be almost impossible to write it covering 5 separate versions!
there are 5 december 1st etc, each would have to compare themselves with the correct range above.
same for all other dates of course!

here is the file as requested - it is 3466 KB

There's a problem with the downoad link. Why not use the manage attachments button & attach directly to the question?

It won't, but it can't possibly take a 3MB file to illustrate what you're trying to do.

here is a file with one of the five calendars.
strange it is a small file but when i even tried a two calender file it was over 2MB !

the download link works well- so to get the whole file...
    thanks
