Macro to open URL then save page as a text file

    Hi.

I was wondering if this was possible to have a macro within Excel that:

    a) Opens a specified URL
    b) Waits for the page to load (as it's quite a big page)
    c) Saves the page as a text/.txt file (prompts user for name of file but defaults in the first part of the filename, eg. "TEXT FILE FOR") and saves to folder on computer (as an example C:/test).

    Thanks,

I had a look at it - find attached file, still working on it but is this what you have in mind. Still need to add code to save as .txt file

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Yes that is what I had in mind, and when you press run it would save the URL entered in the box as a text file with a user specified name (taken from a pop up box maybe?).. I have no idea how you would do that though!

    Thanks again
